Symphony Cellists Run Yearly Bach Marathon

Seattle Symphony cellists Walter Gray, Roberta Downey, Meeka Quan DiLorenzo and Eric Gaenslan are participating in this year's Bach Suite Marathon sponsored by the Seattle Violoncello Society.

Every year around Bach's birthday (March 21, 1685) the Society puts on a free performance of the complete works for Solo Cello of J.S. Bach. This year about 30 cellists - professional, amateur and student - from around the Pacific Northwest participate. One of the talented student performers on this concert is Karissa Zadinsky, daughter of Seattle Symphony violinist Arthur Zadinsky.

The concert is free and open to the public. You can drop in for any part or all of the day!
