Jordan Anderson

Jordan Anderson has been Principal Bass of the Seattle Symphony since 2000. He has a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studied with Hal Robinson, Principal Bass of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Jordan has performed as soloist with Seattle Symphony, Seattle Chamber Orcherstra, and Cascade Symphony. In November of 2006 Mr. Anderson was one of 13 soloists around the country to participate in the premiere of John Harbison's Concerto for Bass Viol and Orchestra. Jordan is also a regular participant with the Seattle Chamber Music Society.

In the summer of '97 and '98 Mr. Anderson attended the Verbier Summer Festival In Verbier, Switzerland where he appeared in concert with the Emerson String Quartet and Leon Fleisher.

Jordan has also recently won first prize in the solo division of the David Walter Memorial Composition Competition.

Mr. Anderson also enjoys teaching and giving master classes around the Northwest.
