Jeff Fair - Horn - Assistant Principal

Jeffrey Fair joined the Seattle Symphony as Assistant Principal Horn in the fall of 2003. Prior to moving to Seattle he served as Principal Horn of the San Antonio Symphony for three seasons, appearing as soloist on several occasions.

He has served on the faculty of the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina and has performed in the Seattle Chamber Music and Arizona Music Festivals. Additionally, Mr. Fair regularly appears throughout the Puget Sound region as soloist, chamber musician, clinician, and teacher. He completed a Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School as a student of Jerome Ashby.

A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Fair received a Bachelor of Music degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Fair is married to Laura Renz, a violist. Together they enjoy traveling, cooking, and playing with their two dogs.
